Description
A fabric collection featuring William Morris’ most famous prints- Willow Bough, The Strawberry Thief and Golden Lily.
The quality of this cotton is called ‘Cotton Percale’. It is a high quality fabric made with a plain weave in a method used for hundreds of years. It produces a soft, crisp cloth which has good strength and durability. To be called cotton percale a cloth must have a thread count of 180 per square inch or higher- ours is a 200 thread count.
This cloth is digitally printed with reactive dyes which can be washed at higher temperatures without compromising their colours.
This lightweight cloth has a beautiful soft handle and a great flow-y drape which makes it lovely for dressmaking, but it can also be used for many different crafts including patchwork. If you are unfamiliar to this cloth, it’s closet neighbour is cotton poplin.
