A high quality plain cotton cotton fabric by the metre (or by half a metre, as required), perfect for patchwork and quilting projects.
What is craft cotton fabric?
A 112cm wide pure cotton cloth that is high quality, approx 145 grams per metre squared and made specifically with patchwork quilts in mind. This fabric is versatile and can be used for many sewing projects where a medium weight fabric is needed. It is particularly lovely for making children’s clothes.
What are the washing instructions for craft cotton fabric?
We would always recommend pre-washing pure cotton fabrics before cutting or sewing them as they can shrink between 2-5% on their first wash, and strong colours like navy, black and red can bleed a small amount of colour. You may choose to put a colour-catcher in with the fabrics and keep light and dark colours separate.
We recommend a 40 degree machine wash on a normal cycle. You can also tumble dry them if you will be tumble drying the finished project in the future.
Please note: the natural colour is undyed and unbleached so has a fleck in it from the cotton seeds.
