What types of dressmaking fabric do you sell?
We stock a broad range including 100% cotton, cotton poplin, polycotton, viscose, linen, wool, and stretch and jersey fabrics, available in both plain colours and printed designs to suit garments for every season.
Is your dressmaking fabric sold by the metre?
Yes. Our fabrics are cut to order and sold by the half metre and full metre, so you can buy the exact amount your sewing pattern requires. Selected fabrics are also available as fat quarters or full rolls.
Which fabric is best for beginners?
Cotton poplin and 100% cotton are ideal for those new to dressmaking. They’re stable, easy to cut and press, and hold their shape well at the machine, making them forgiving for first garments like skirts, tops and simple dresses.
Do you offer stretch fabric for fitted garments?
Yes. Our jersey and stretch range includes cotton jerseys and stretch blends suited to close-fitting clothing such as t-shirts, leggings, loungewear and comfortable everyday wear.
How much does delivery cost?
UK delivery is free on all orders over £30, with tracked shipping as standard and the option to upgrade to a 24-hour tracked service at checkout.
