Waxed Cotton Ex-Designer

Naturally waterproof wax drenched cotton for making wet weather coats, caps and dog coats. Dead stock from Barbour. Water Resistant.

Waxed cotton – stock from a well known designer brand that makes wax coats.

This fabric is 100% Cotton and has been heavily impregnated with wax to create a fabric that repels water.

Over time, garments made from this fabric will gain character from all of the marks, scratches and creases it gains as you move in it and this is a big part of its charm. Wax coats are a popular fashion item for those who love a country walk and they have been used throughout the generations. Wax coats can be re-oiled/waxed so garments made with this fabric will last and last. The wax gives the cotton extra strength and durability.

Please note that this fabric may gain some marks from being cut and folded into the post bag so if you would like to remove these you can gently warm the wax with a warm iron. Make sure to protect your fabric (and your iron!) with a piece of cloth or paper.

We do NOT recommend you wash this fabric. If it becomes dirty simply wipe clean with a damp cloth and leave to dry.
