Seersucker fabric has been around for centuries, its name comes from the Persian phrase shir-o-shakhar meaning “milk and sugar” for the alternating textures. This particular seersucker fabric is made of cotton, which makes it gentle on the skin and breathable. Seersucker is traditionally woven on a loom with threads at different tensions which gives it a characteristic crinkle or wrinkled texture, perfect for casual summer garments.
