Seersucker fabric has been around for centuries, its name comes from the Persian phrase shir-o-shakhar meaning “milk and sugar” for the alternating textures. This particular seersucker fabric is made of cotton which gives it softness, breathability. Seersucker is traditionally woven on a loom with threads at different tensions which gives it a characteristic crinkle or wrinkled texture, perfect for casual summer garments and country-style tablecloths.
