60% Cotton 40% Viscose mix with a pretty slubbed background which gives the appearance of linen. A multicoloured paisley floral on a dark navy background. Perfect for dressmaking to create flattering silhouettes and comfortable clothes.
Viscose is a semi-synthetic fibre, as it it made from a natural fibre, but is a man-made product It is made from natural sources of regenerated cellulose, such as wood and other related agricultural products such as bamboo. It has the same molecular structure as cellulose and it is the third most used textile in the world.
Combining cotton and viscose together gives a lovely summer cloth which is cool against the skin and still has a lovely drape.
The drape of this fabric is likened to polyester so it is perfect for swing tops, maxi dresses and other projects that need movement and ‘swish’.
The weave of this fabric has been created with a slubbed effect, which makes it look like linen.
