Golden Yellow Cotton Velvet

A bright honey yellow cotton velveteen/ celvet for dressmaking and craft.
Weight: approx 200gsm

This Cotton Velveteen is a type of woven tufted fabric in which the cut threads are evenly distributed,
with a short dense pile, giving it a distinctive soft ‘fuzzy’ feel. It has a luxurious look with a dull sheen. It is traditionally used in Irish dancing dresses and Historical costumes.

THIS FABRIC HAS NO STRETCH
These plain coloured high quality velveteen fabrics are perfect for dressmaking projects, but also for many crafts including cushions. This is a ‘flat’ velvet as opposed to a crushed velvet, so it has an even texture.

Washing instructions: The manufacturer recommends dry-clean only to protect the pile on the fabric. Alternatively, you can hand-wash and hang up to dry. When dry, iron on the back of the fabric to protect the pile.
