Viscose fabrics are perfect for dresses and tops that need a light drape, movement, breathability and softness against the skin. Viscose twill has a diagonal weave and is slightly heavier weight than a challis, so it is warmer and more suitable for autumn and winter makes.
Viscose is a man-made natural fibre. It has been made from processed wood pulp fibres and has the favourable properties of cotton, but a much lighter drape like polyester making it great for beautiful ‘swishy’ garments. It is breathable and soft to the touch. It can be used for adults and children alike.
It’s a popular choice for dresses, gathered skirts, floaty shirts and also casual and flattering peplum style tops.
