The colour of this melton is a plain black.
Melton cloth is a traditional cloth made of wool and is woven in a twill form. It is thick, dense and durable due to having been well fulled, which gives it a felt-like smooth surface. It is napped and very closely sheared.
Its thickness makes it great for winter coats and warm blazers, but also for A-line skirts and also craft such as wool cushions, wool appliqué, and more. It is very popular for formal coats too.
