100% Cotton corduroy. 20 wale. A plain black coloured pincord.
Plain colour corduroy fabric for dressmaking such as dungarees, trousers, skirts, jackets, pinafore dresses including children’s clothes.
We recommend you pre-wash this fabric before sewing. Machine wash at 40 degrees.
Expect a small amount of colour bleeding in the first wash. When ironing, iron on the back of the fabric only to protect the pile.
Corduroy is a fabric characterised by its distinctive parallel lines or cords that run along the length of the fabric. These cords are raised ridges created by a weaving technique using three yarns. The number of cords per inch (known as wales) can vary, influencing the fabric’s drape and texture.
