Sharkskin Weave Black Wool Linen Mix

A lovely soft wool and linen mix fabric with charcoal whisps for dressmaking and winter coats.

This fabric is called ‘sharkskin’ because of its weave. They have used a light grey fibre and black fibres woven tightly to create a tiny fine zig-zag diagonal weave. It’s a lovely quality medium-weight wool mix fabric made with both linen and polyamide. They give this fabric a smooth and soft feel with a great drape. It gives the fabric a lovely visual texture so it’s a little more interesting than a flat black wool. This fabric would make really nice winter skirts and coats, especially if you are wanting something that looks nice and formal for work.
