What is Mango Silk?
Mango silk fabric is not actually silk. It is a versatile cloth that has been hand loomed using a blend of polyester, viscose and bamboo to create a cloth that is breathable and has a distinct, slightly crisp handle. It is also known for its natural and subtle sheen and slightly slubbed texture. This fabric is also called ‘artist’s silk’ or ‘artificial silk’ and is much cheaper in price than pure silk.

It has been made with dressmaking in kind, with projects like bold statement dresses, skirts and box tops. But this versatile cloth can also be used in home decor to make items like lampshades.
