Pattern notes:

These socks are knitted on 3.5mm needles NOT 4mm as stated on the ball band. This will produce a different tension but will ensure a firmer, more hard-wearing fabric for your socks.

The ideal tension for these socks is 24stitches to 10cm so use whatever sizer needles are required to reach this tension and do heck that your knitted fabric is firm but not stiff.
