Stretch Maraflex Thread Gütermann 150m Reel Machine Sewing for Jersey Fabrics

Gütermann Maraflex thread is a brilliant quality stretch thread which is perfect for sewing jersey fabrics

and any other fabrics that contain elastane. It can be used in any sewing machine and also the bobbin.

Its great if you want to use a straight stitch but still have a seam that stretches.

Elastic thread with a particularly high stretch – Up to 80% seam stretch

Perfect for:

Elastic closing and backstitch seams, for example for jersey and all fabrics with elastane.

Ideal for sewing round necklines and tight seams.

For sewing cuffs on legs and sleeves, such as on hoodies and joggers or children’s trousers.

Sew with as little thread tension as possible.

The recommended needle size is NM 70-80 ranging from fine material use to heavier fabrics.

This thread is able to withstand a 95% degree wash, hot heat tumble drying and a hot iron up to a maximum of 200 degrees. It is safe to dry clean this thread as well as using a non-chlorine bleach.
