Brushed Cotton Winceyette

Cotton fabric that has been brushed to create a soft feel . All of the colours on this page are plain and un-patterned.

This fabric can be used for a large variety of crafts. Traditionally winceyette (also called winciette, flannelette, flannel) was used to make pyjamas and bed sheets that are warm in the winter and breathable against the skin. More recently this fabric has been popularised by the trend for making ‘Rag Quilts’ due to its ability to fray when sewn following the weave then snipped and washed. This fabric is soft and easy to sew.
We recommend that you pre-wash this fabric due to the nature of the cotton cloth.
