“Throughout the years I have collected blue and white pottery in all shapes and sizes and just love how the different patterns play off each other when grouped together, creating an energetic and familiar contrast in any room. How fun would it be to make quilts and pillows that creates the same effect, or that depict pottery. This was the inspiration behind Something Blue.

The full collection of ‘Something Blue’ consists of 32 fabrics, 15 different pattern designs, some repurposed and some new. Most of them are in a light-on-dark version and a dark-on-light version, to create two colour-ways.

The projects associated with this collection are mainly inspired by pottery collections in keeping with the theme, some with appliqué flowers to contrast the blue and white. Keep in mind that blue and white works well with so many quilt designs – just simple squares alternating light and dark fabrics would make beautiful quilts and pillows.”

Although designed with patchwork quilts in mind, this fabric can also be used to sew beautiful dresses, skirts, shirts bunting, cushions and more. Just imagine this collection made into a handmade gift for someone’s ‘something blue’ on their wedding day!

Washing Instructions:
These fabrics are all pure cotton, and as such we would recommend that you pre-wash them with a colour-catcher at 40 degrees before cutting or sewing to minimise any potential shrinkage. It is normal to expect cottons to shrink up to 2-5% in the first wash.

These fabrics are listed in increments of Metric Fat Quarter and Metre.
Add these increments to your basket to build your required length. If you’d like a half metre, just purchase 2 x fat quarters.

Multiple purchases will ALWAYS be cut as one full length from the bolt and NOT as individual pieces.
