Dupioni (also referred to as Douppioni or Dupion) is a plain weave crisp silk fabric, produced by using fine thread in the warp and uneven thread reeled from two or more entangled silk worm cocoons in the weft. This creates tightly-woven yardage with a highly-lustrous surface.
It can be used in all sorts of dressmaking and craft, such as shirts and dresses, Christening outfits and would also be particularly perfect in appearance for re-enactments and historical costumes.
This fabric is sold in Half Metre and Metre increments. Add them to your basket to build your required length.
Multiple purchases will ALWAYS be cut as one full length from the bolt and NOT as individual pieces.
Postage
We always aim to post your items on the same day you have ordered them, providing you order before 1pm Monday- Friday. Any orders placed after 1pm on a Friday, or at the weekend, will be posted on the Monday. Any orders placed over a Bank holiday weekend will be posted on the Tuesday.
All of our UK parcels are sent by Royal Mail on a 2ndclass service which takes approximately 2-3 workings days to arrive once dispatched. If you require your items quickly then you can upgrade your postage upon checkout. We offer Royal Mail 1stclass or a 24-hour courier service if booked before 12pm (Monday to Friday).
International parcels are sent by a Standard International Service with Royal Mail. International parcels usually take between 3 and 10 working days to arrive depending on the country and customs.
